This album is a DREAM COME TRUE! Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a famous singer. Music has played such a huge part in my life, and I could never imagine not being able to sing or dance, or being on stage performing in front of crowds of people, large or small.
Unfortunately, those dreams were significantly diminished the day I was in a car accident that left me paralyzed from the neck down. However, even after a truly miraculous recovery and learning to walk again, we discovered that my vocal chords were also damaged from being intubated. When I first attempted to sing after the removal of the tracheotomy tube, I was devastated. Not only would I never dance again, but my voice was completely changed and my ability to sing the way I had been trained was all but gone.
It has taken years to get even a small portion of that back, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to FINALLY pursue my lifelong dream of being a singer. My hope for this album is to inspire others to follow their dreams, and to bring peace and joy to a world so full of pain, sadness, and suffering. As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, may we follow His example to be filled with love for everyone. “Pray for peace, people everywhere!”
